Profile

Isabelle specializes in the effects of silvicultural practices on wood product quality and value. She links external tree characteristics with internal wood attributes to better predict product volume, quality and value recoveries, for softwoods and hardwoods. Within the ForValueNet network, she leads a team that develops and integrate wood attribute models allowing to simulate log primary breakdown based on both external and internal log characteristics in the sawing simulation software Optitek of FPInnovations.
