Abstract
The Old World genus Chaetomymar Ogloblin, with 11 nominal species, is reviewed and a key to 10 species is presented. Polynema dei Girault is transferred to Chaetomymar as C. Dei (Girault), comb. nov. Chaetomymar indopeninsularis (Mani and Saraswat), stat. rev. , is removed from synonymy under C. bagicha (Narayanan, Subba Roa and Kaur). Chaetomymar sophoniae, sp. nov., is described from eggs of the two-spotted leafhopper, Sophonia rufofascia (Kuoh and Kuoh), in the Hawaiian Islands. It most likely originated from the Oriental region, possibly southern China. Acanthomymar is synonymized under Polynema and its type species transferred as P. nigrum (subba Rao), comb. nov.
