Community ecology of the brown spruce longhorn beetle, _Tetropium fuscum_ Fabr., in Nova Scotia

Description

Tetropium fuscum is an exotic cerambycid beetle native to Eastern Europe that was recently established in Nova Scotia. Compared to other invasive species such as the emerald ash borer, the spread of T. fuscum is relatively slow. We are examining the interactions of T. fuscum with its new community to determine the extent to which our native natural enemies and competitors are keeping its populations from reaching outbreak levels.
