Description:
- 4 - 7 cm
- brownish with two parallel rows of black, square blotches extending
down its back
- the dorso-lateral folds are light yellow in colour and the underside
of the legs is bright yellow to orange
Habitat:
- various types of wetlands including swamps and fens, as well as pools,
streams and flooded ditches
Conservation concerns, distribution and status:
- uncommon and local in southern Ontario, absent from many areas
